i’m finally home after my rather epic summer travels. thanks once again to all the lovely promoters, venues and listeners i encountered at my recent shows.
mr. brian pyle, aka ensemble econmique just informed me about his forthcoming album ‘blossoms in red‘, due out october 29th on denovali records. brian came to visit me out at the sparkle a few months back . . . we had an epic driftwood fire on the beach under a full moon, complete with a naked plunge into the freezing pacific ocean. we spent a good part of the next day in my little studio, recording together. brian started playing this crunchy repetitive bassline on the organ, and i started playing drums along, and before we knew it this song fell into our laps:
