i am very pleased to announce that volume 3 of the solo piano series on kning disk (curated by yours truly) is finally available! for this edition i enlisted the one and only mr. greg haines. having been a fan of greg since his first album slumber tides in 2006, we eventually came to meet each other through various chance encounters on tour, and solidified a great friendship when we both ended up living in berlin.
for anyone who has seen greg play live over the last few years, you’ve probably heard him play numerous pieces on solo piano, and then wondered at some point . . . how come none of these tracks are on record? well, now they finally are! moments eluding captures greg alone at the piano, showcasing both his gift for hypnotic composition and refreshing improvisation. plus . . . on the front cover is one of the luckiest photographs i’ve had to chance of capturing. the 12″ vinyl version is especially rewarding… yay!!!
