January 30th, 2026 will be a very special occasion for me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I’ll be doing two performances at the legendary Tivoli Vrendenburg in Utrecht as part of the violin-centred festival Night of the Violin<\/a>.<\/em> There is an early show at 7pm in which I will play with the backing of a string orchestra<\/a>. It is an absolute dream come true for me to create string arrangements for a large ensemble like this and to make it even more special we will be performing mostly new and unreleased material, with the addition of a couple older pieces which have been completely rearranged for the occasion. I don’t think I’ve ever looked forward to a show as much as I look forward to this one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n After that, later in the evening at 10:15pm, I’ll be performing solo with help on a few songs from some of my best friends<\/a> who are flying over from Ireland to join me. This will be special for different reasons, as I’ve never had the chance to bring along my best friends to a concert abroad, and along with some of my more typical solo material, I’ll have the chance to show an audience the type of music I play for fun with my friends when we’re at home in front of the fire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n If you’ve ever considered traveling to see a concert of mine, here is my invititation to come and be a part of this much anticipated evening.
