The Isolation/Remote Liaison Allowance is paid annually to all nurses (including full-time, part-time and casual) as follows: the majority of nurses are eligible for group benefits through HEBP, which, in the event of death, is less than four times their salary. There are also accidental deaths and reports of dismemberment. The President of Local 5 acts as the Local`s representative on the Provincial Collective Bargain Committee (PCBC) and negotiates any new collective agreement on behalf of the 5 local members. The wording of the Local 5 collective agreement sometimes differs from the standard UNM formula and collective agreements in other local/workplaces. Please check your Local 5 collective agreement to make sure you have the corresponding text. Note: At the time of the sessions, all figures for PT nurses are based on projections. Actual holiday schedules will not be available until after March 31. NRCs should check at that time and ensure that vacation pay is based on actual figures and communicates if necessary. The image under the image does not reflect the current collective agreement. Some of the ways in which our collective agreements support us: a collective agreement is a written and binding contract between the Union and the employer that sets the terms of employment. The Manitoba Nurses Union is constantly sought to improve working conditions, wages and benefits through the negotiation of new collective agreements.
If a nurse chooses to take a week off for a week during which she usually works more than half of her EFT, you have rescheduled those extra days in the hours booked to ensure that her EFT is maintained. If they choose to take a week off for a week during which they usually work less than their EFT, one day of the previous week or the following week can be postponed to that short week to ensure that they receive their T EF during the holiday period. See Appendix B. The rescheduled days are not confirmed with the nurse at the meeting. They will be confirmed if the calendar is booked with these dates. Some benefits enjoyed by MNU members are not covered by the collective agreement, but are provided by pension boards and trust allowances: Formula for each classification: Total weeks off for the sector – the average number of people who will take a 52-week leave, Note: Round the nearest number where you have a fraction. See Appendix A. Do not allow a requirement that exceeds that number at any given time. For Christmas/New Year, the number of sacked employees should be halved. Consideration should also be given to limiting the number of nurses during peak periods (i.e. July/August).
NRC should check these figures before they are published with their management team. Christmas is limited to 1 LPN and 1 RN at a time The majority of nurses participate in the D-R plan for health care workers, which protects two-thirds of their income in the event of long-term illness and disability. The employer pays the entire premium up to 2.3%.
